9m88(讀作Joanne Baba)，是一位生於臺北，長居紐約的音樂人。剛來到紐約時，她是一位爵士樂主音歌手，隨後，她開始對多元類型的音樂產生興趣，包括爵士, R&B, P流行樂和即興音樂演奏等。Baba以她在音樂中所注入的生動而復古的畫面感而聞名。她的歌詞通常以日常生活為材，講述每一個個體苦樂參半的故事。
她的7英寸黑膠唱片《Nine Head Hinano》的發行，包括其中對於City Pop經典曲目“Plastic Love”的翻唱，為她獲得了來自國際層面的認可。2019年9月，9m88發佈了她的首張獨立音樂專輯《Beyond Mediocrity》。
9m88 (pronounced Joanne Baba) is a Taipei-born and New York based musician. After arriving in New York as a Jazz voice major, she has broadened her interest in various genres of music, including Jazz, R&B, Pop, and Free Improvisation. Baba is also known for infusing her music with vivid and retro visuals. Her lyrics usually deal with personal bitter-sweet stories on a daily basis.
The release of her 7-inch vinyl “Nine Head Hinano”, including a cover of City Pop classic “Plastic Love”, gained her worldwide recognition. 9m88 just released her debut album Beyond Mediocrity independently in August 2019.
